NAZARETH, PA – Positive energy never sounded quite this good. C. F. Martin & Co.® and Life is Good® are teaming up once again to introduce the LX2 Life is Good, a new Little Martin acoustic guitar designed to bring more music, optimism, and adventure wherever life leads.   

The latest release continues the brands’ long-running partnership, following the LX1 Life is Good acoustic guitar, 0XK Uke Life is Good, and Life is Good guitar straps. This time, Martin and Life is Good have paired the portable, comfortable design of a Little Martin with fresh artwork and a powerful message. 

The guitar’s solid spruce top features a custom laser-etched sun surrounding the soundhole, the Life is Good name above the bridge, and the words “Positive Energy is Powerful Energy” across the bouts. The headplate combines Martin’s iconic script logo with the Life is Good dragon, inspired by a bedtime story from founders Bert and John Jacobs’ mother, Joan, about a dragon who breathes love instead of fire. The symbol honors the joy and play she brought into the world and reflects the mission of the Life is Good Playmaker Project.

Made to Go Wherever Good Vibes Lead 

Built for music almost anywhere, the LX2 Life is Good pairs its solid spruce top with Brazilian rosewood-patterned high-pressure laminate back and sides. The combination delivers a crisp, articulate sound along with the durability to handle changing environments, from lesson rooms and living rooms to road trips and outdoor jams. 

Its compact modified 0 body and short 23-inch scale length create a comfortable, relaxed playing experience. The smaller body is easy to hold and transport, while the shorter distance between frets makes chords and notes more approachable for beginners and younger players. Experienced musicians will also find a capable travel companion that feels and sounds like a genuine Martin. 

A Modified Low Oval neck profile and 1 11/16-inch nut width add to its easy-playing feel. Additional details include a Richlite® fingerboard and Junior-style belly bridge, white Boltaron® diamond-and-squares fingerboard inlays, chrome enclosed-gear tuning machines, non-scalloped spruce X-bracing, and a hand-applied finish. 

The guitar comes strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic® Lifespan® 2.0 medium-gauge strings and includes a softshell case, making it ready for lessons, everyday practice, campfire jams, weekend getaways, and wherever the next good day takes you.
